| One afternoon a big wolf waited in a big exposition hall for a little
Maltese to come along carrying a basket of dog food to her judge at the
dog show. Finally a little Maltese, Tabitha, did come along and she
was carrying a basket of dog food. "Are you carrying that basket to your
judge?" asked the wolf. The little Maltese said yes, she was. So the wolf
asked her what ring her judge would in and the little Maltese told
him and he disappeared into the crowd of exhibiters.
When the little Maltese entered the area of her judges ring she saw that there was somebody at the table with a nice suit and tie on. She had approached no nearer than twenty-five feet from the ring when she saw that it was not her judger but the wolf, for even in a shirt and tie a wolf does not look any more like your judge than the Metro-Goldwyn lion looks like a Chihuahua. So the little Maltese, barking furiously, brought all the other dogs running, biting, and chewing, and that was the end of the big bad wolf. (Moral: It is not so easy to fool little Maltese girls nowadays and especially when all your friends are around.)
